On a beautiful afternoon I was reading the following verse:

Matthew 8:21-22 ¶ And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.

Let the dead bury their dead?? I thought to myself...that was cold! My LORD won't say that..He wouldn't mean that...what's wrong with leaving for a minute to bury the dead? I thought to myself....lo and behold the answer would come from a completely different direction.

I've always had communion at home with my family and we would use the following (verses) for this event:

1 Corinthians 11:23-26 ¶ For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.  After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

We enjoyed our communion service together!

One day I decided to look for different verses to say during communion service and I came across these verses that blew my mind;

John 6:53-58 ¶ Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have
NO LIFE in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

It hit me like a ton of bricks! Unless we partake of the symbolic representation of Our LORD'S Body and Blood we have
NO LIFE in us!

So IF that young man had
LIFE in him instead of going to his father's funeral he would do what?

Hint: Matthew 10:8

This is why Our LORD said let the dead bury the dead.

Communion keeps
LIFE in you so that you can perform the deeds Our LORD says we should do as well fight the devil and his hordes at work, school, neighborhoods and where ever he may show his face.

So if I may deduct an equation here:

Good Works keeps our FAITH alive*****
Communion keeps our SPIRIT energized****

I hope this article encourages you to make communion a part of your daily devotion to our LORD! :)

************************************************************

Would you like to know how we have communion in our household?

Well let me share our ingredients:

We use unleavened crackers from Manischewitz

We also use organic kosher grape juice. (no wine or alcohol)

We say a prayer as a group then sing a hymnal to Our LORD. Afterward we examine ourselves quietly to see if we are worthy to partake of his communion. IF you take communion unworthily you will get sick or even go to sleep in the grave.

1 Corinthians 11:27-34 ¶ Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.  For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another. And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.

Be sure to have a regular meal before having communion. Communion is food for the SPIRIT not food for the soul. Communion should not satisfy your body's hunger pains. That should be satisfied by a regular carnal meal.

First we partake of the bread after saying a short prayer of thanksgiving and repeating this verse:

For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

Afterward we do the same for the grape juice with a little twist:

After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

At this time we hold the cup in front of our mouths and sing "The LORD'S Prayer" together as one.

Here is an example of how it's sung.

Now here's the fun part. after signing the song and drinking the juice Some believers have experienced some exciting miraculous things. Some reported the juice changed to a multi-fruit taste others reported the juice became much sweeter and distinct. We also had members share with us that the juice turned into wine!!! And there were some believers that had no special experience at all. It taste like grape juice nothing more nothing less.

Now there is an interesting note here. There were members whom experienced a bitter taste from the juice. This concerned me so I interviewed these believers quite extensively and discovered a single cause. ALL of them had ought in their heart toward another person! (hatred, unforgiveness, sought revenge) remember we are not to partake of communion unworthily. Well this certainly is unworthy and guess what the juice points this out every time no matter where I go.

Ask GOD for forgiveness and go correct the issue with the person in question. IF they reject your olive leaf you are no longer held responsible for that feud. IF the person already passed away, write your apology down on a piece of paper and sealed it in an envelope tuck it away in a secured place.

I hope you've enjoyed this specialized communion we enjoy soo much. Until the TRUMP OF GOD blows take care and be Blessed!

I THANK Our LORD for helping me with this writing and give Him all the Glory and Praise!
